Chairman Management Committee PCB Zaka Ashraf hosted the Pakistan Blind Cricket team and their officials on Friday at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Chairman called the side to honour the team winning the Gold medal at the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) World Games 2023, held in Birmingham.

Pakistan Blind cricket team demonstrated skills and resilience in the IBSA World Games, emerging as the champions beating India twice in the tournament.

In the T20 format, in a five-team tournament, Pakistan remained unbeaten and defeated India, Bangladesh, Australia and England before clinching the medal by defeating India again by eight wickets on 26 August 2023.

Batting first, India scored 184 runs for the loss of 3 wickets within the stipulated 20 overs. Pakistan achieved the target in 14.1 overs with 8 wickets to spare.

In recognition of their remarkable success, Zaka Ashraf presented each player and official with a cheque of RS300,000 as a token of appreciation and encouragement for their continued dedication to the sport.
